Your teeth should last forever!
We should take care of our mouth because:
· It is part of our body
· It is the opening to the rest of your body.
· You need your teeth to chew, speak properly.
· Natural, healthy teeth make you look beautiful.
Good oral health prevents tooth decay, gum disease, tooth loss and oral cancers!
FIVE STAGES FOR GOOD ORAL HEALTH
1)CORRECT brushing TWICE a day:
Brush TEETH and GUMS using a gentle massaging technique for 2 minutes. Wait for 45 minutes to 1 hr to brush your teeth after a meal! Use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste which contains 1450ppm of Flouride!
2) Floss regularly
Interdental floss removes plaque and debris from BETWEEN teeth in places where the toothbrush alone doesn’t reach!
3) Mouthwash
A mouthwash reduces oral bacteria, strengthens teeth and freshens your breath! It should be kept in the mouth for 1 minute and SHOULD NEVER BE SWALLOWED.
4) Healthy Eating
No matter how well we take care of our teeth and mouth, the truth is that WHAT WE EAT and WHEN WE EAT has a lot to do with our health in general. FREQUENT sugary snacks INCREASE TOOTH DECAY.A healthy balanced diet is always the best!
5) Regular visits to the Dentist
This is important so that decay and disease is diagnosed in the early stages where simpler treatment is required. Do not wait until you’re in pain as it will probably be too late!!

How can I reduce bad breath?
In the vast majority of cases, keeping your mouth clean will automatically mean having fresh breath at all times! Mouth washes (in addition to brushing) are excellent for this purpose. If in spite of everything you do, bad breath persists, consult your doctor and dentist so that they can investigate the cause further.
Can chewing gum help prevent tooth decay?
Yes, sugar-free chewing gum can help prevent tooth decay by increasing the salivary flow in the mouth. Chewing gum does NOT replace tooth brushing!
